Who, or What Does the Building Safety Act Apply To?
The Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) represents one of the most significant legislative reforms in the UK’s built environment in decades. Born out of the need to address systemic failures in building safety, most starkly highlighted by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the Act aims to establish a robust framework for ensuring the safety of all buildings. However, much confusion still exists about the scope of the Act and who it applies to.

CROSS is a confidential reporting system
Here at Enframe, we believe every UK construction professional, (architect, architectural technologist, structural engineer, civil engineer and surveyor) should be signed up to CROSS.
CROSS is a confidential reporting system which allows professionals working in the built environment to report on fire and structural safety issues. These are then published anonymously to share lessons learned, create positive change, and improve safety.
CROSS Safety Alert
This Alert draws attention to the safety risks associated with preventing the operation of smoke vents, in particular Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs), by construction works on existing buildings. It draws on confidential reporting experience from the UK but is also relevant to other regions.
